Dragon House - Union City
About This Spot
Stepping into Dragon House in Union City feels like slipping into a well-loved neighborhood spot where the pace slows just enough to savor simple, satisfying moments. The atmosphere is inviting without pretension—warm lighting and the gentle hum of conversation create a space that embraces both quiet dinners and casual catch-ups with friends. It’s the kind of place where familiar faces and new visitors share tables alike, drawn by a steady rhythm of comfort and good food.
Here, the kitchen’s offerings are rooted in approachable, home-style Chinese cooking that carries hints of tradition balanced with a local touch. Whether it’s the crispness of golden fried wontons or the comforting steam rising from a bowl of egg drop soup, each dish speaks to a thoughtful hand behind the scenes. The experience unfurls through layers of texture and flavor—crisp chicken wings with a peppery kick, tender stir-fries brimming with fresh vegetables, and the quiet pleasure of a carefully prepared pot sticker.
Dragon House feels less like a restaurant and more like a neighborhood gathering place, where meals are a chance to reconnect with simple joys. Lunch specials offer an accessible way to explore the menu’s balance of tastes and textures, while the steady flow of regulars hints at its local charm. Though the spot keeps a modest pace, it never loses a sense of welcoming hospitality, where the staff’s attentiveness contributes as much to the experience as the food itself.
Unhurried and unassuming, this is a place to arrive with an appetite—not just for food, but for the calm comfort of a genuine local spot that rewards return visits with familiar flavors and a quietly joyful atmosphere.

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant near us. Food is always good except for lemon/orange chicken. Every time we other this, it's dry. They also stopped delivering food and customers had to go thru one of the delivery apps like Doordash.
